As much as I specialize in full scope projects - not every client is tearing their entire house apart. I work on projects of all shapes and sizes. Having worked in the industry for many years as well as renovated for myself - I’ve learnt the questions to ask, the principles to employ, the possibilities and the pitfalls… all of which serve to guide clients towards feeling confident, and at ease as their projects move forward. I can help you work through style planning, material selections, DIY consulting, and sequence planning.

Integrally. I am one on one with you from planning to completion. Small shop and boutique - I am invested in every part of your project and I want to work closely with you to ensure exacting accuracy to how you want the space to look and feel. Not to worry - I won’t bog you down with tons of boring information - or overwhelm you with decisions - but sadly too often hear stories of clients who feel they’ve been steamrolled by their Designer and left a midst a project not reflective of themselves and unheard to course correction. I set the intention early on in my career to never have any client feel that way. I want to create a space that feels like Home for you.

The sooner the better - ideally when you first start thinking about wanting to build, renovate or update your space. We can start collaborating together right away, gaining more opportunities to add Architectural character and savvy ideas into your project. Often times people hire a Contractor before realizing they should also have a Designer onboard. While it’s never too late - the earlier a Designer is involved the better. A Designer can work wonders together with your Builder/Renovator to the benefit of your project - each thinking ahead in their respective fields to best strategize in advance can significantly streamline and ultimately help add project savings. When involved in time, I love to catch Floor Plan Layout/Architectural Revisions, Space Planning with thought to Furniture clearances, Millwork Design, Window sizes/opening styles, Built-In elements like Art + Shower Niches as well as consideration to how the Exterior and Interior will flow together. You’ll find the most flexibility to make changes and adjustments as well as the creative freedom to accomplish more when we work together in advance of finalizing your building/renovation plans.

Absolutely! I love working to improve upon an existing structure - there’s a history, a story, and a puzzle of unknowns to discover and solve…. Renovating holds a special place in my heart; having grown up in the midst of my parent’s 1904 Kelowna Heritage Home Restoration. Later in life, while renovating my own homes I gained a first hand appreciation of the nuances of a well planned Renovation. I can’t say enough about having a professional that specializes in Renovations come in to consult - new ideas will spark, answers to questions for what’s possible, a better understanding of the process - and we’ll also chat through strategies that optimizes trades and overall saves the project’s budget.

Yes I’d love to! I find it’s super helpful for clients to see the layers of Art & Furniture in coordination with the rest of their project so everything works beautifully together. There’s a lot to think about with choosing Art - hanging locations, arrangements, heights, and flow with the rest of the space. Furniture presents its own check list of planning - there’s optimizing the layout, size/clearances, style, quality/manufacturer, fabric types & co-ordinated colour selection. I provide detailed Concept Planning & Sourcing, Furniture layouts, and have access to some fantastic designer only suppliers as well as support many local showrooms & artisans.

Yes and I love creating custom Colour Palettes. Walls are one of the largest elements of any space and Painting is one of the most impactful updates one can make for the least investment. I’ve been offering In-Home Paint Consultations since 2008, and have upclose + firsthand experience while running the Interior Painting division of Raelistic Artistic. Seeing how colour ACTUALLY looks within many different spaces - gives me a deep appreciation of undertones, and how each home’s unique lighting will affect how a colour looks up on the walls. For each In-Home Consult - I bring all my Large sized Designer Paint Colour Chips with me. When I say all - mean ALL. I collect Paint decks like you wouldn’t believe - and bring swatches from many different suppliers including Benjamin Moore, Farrow & Ball, Sherwin Williams, Cloverdale, C2 Paints, and more. This way, while going through your home - we’ll have the vast array of unique colours needed to create the PERFECT custom colour palette for your home.
